CHEVRON DELO® 1000 MARINE SAE 30, 40 is a high quality engine oil developed for use in a wide variety of medium speed trunk piston engines, including the latest design high output engines burning marine diesel oils. It is manufactured using high quality base oils and dispersant, detergent, antioxidant, antiwear, and alkaline reserve additives. The base number or alkalinity of this oil is 12. The detergent/dispersant properties of this oil provides exceptionally clean crankcases and keep oil control rings clean. These properties reduce lube oil filter blockage and provide excellent insolubles control handling characteristics. Chevron Delo 1000 Marine has extremely good viscosity control in severe high temperature service. It has a high degree of water tolerance. Water can be centrifuged out with essentially no loss of additive. Water washing of the oil, however, is not recommended. Chevron Delo 1000 Marine is recommended for use in medium speed trunk piston engines burning marine diesel oils with a sulfur content of up to 1.5%. It is also recommended for air compressor lubrication. The antiwear additives contained in Chevron Delo 1000 Marine provide outstanding load carrying and antiwear characteristics. In the FZG (A/8, 3/90) gear test, the fail stage for Chevron Delo 1000 Marine was Stage 11. The FZG values permit this oil to be used in engine reduction gears and other applications where additional EP/antiwear properties are required. Chevron Delo 1000 Marine meets the requirements of API Service Category CF. It is approved by all major engine manufacturers for use in their medium speed engines.

CHEVRON MARINE ENGINE OIL SYMBOL 9250 SAE 40 Chevron Marine Engine Oil Symbol 9250 is a high quality, high performance engine oil. It is manufactured using highly refined, high viscosity index paraffinic base oils to meet the critical demands of a marine trunk piston-type diesel engine using relatively high sulfur diesel fuel. It is compounded to provide outstanding engine protection and performance in trunk piston marine engines operating under moderate conditions. An effective detergent-dispersant package prevents ring sticking and lacquering of engine pistons, as well as controlling deposits throughout the engine. Rust andoxidation inhibitors are added to prevent enginerusting and to minimize oxidation of the lubricant.Alkaline reserves neutralize acids which result from burned fuel gasses or from oxidized lubricating oil.Marine trunk piston-type diesel engines using relatively high sulfur diesel fuel normally operate at a constant speed and are critical in generating deposits throughout the engine, but mostly on piston skirts andin the ring belt area. This deposit problem iscompounded by using a relatively high sulfur fuel.Acidic material can consequently build up in the crankcase due to piston wiping or blow-by. A well compounded lubricating oil is required. Chevron Marine Engine Oil Symbol 9250 is designed to minimize piston deposits and to keep rings free. Other deposits which could cause problems within the engine are dispersed and kept suspended in the oil until it is drained, or they are removed by filtration. The FZG pass stage (high Stage 10) of Chevron Marine Engine Oil Symbol 9250 assures excellent antiwear protection in all metal-to-metal contacts throughout the engine. Chevron Marine Engine Oil Symbol 9250 can be used in any engine where MIL-L-9000H Symbol 9250 oil is required. It is a multifunctional lubricant that can be used in the main propulsion engine of landing craft, diesel generators aboard ship, or as an air compressor lubricant. The high base number (14) assures adequate protection when using the relatively high sulfur levels that are frequently experienced in marine fuels. Chevron Marine Engine Oil Symbol 9250 fully complies with the requirements of U.S. military specification MIL L 9000H, Symbol 9250, Lubricating Oil, Shipboard Internal Combustion Engine, High Output Diesel.

CHEVRON VERITAS® 800 MARINE OIL SAE 20, 30 is a premium crankcase lubricant for low speed crosshead type diesel engines. Veritas 800 Marine is manufactured from highly refined lubricating oil stocks and has very good anti-corrosion and anti-foam properties. The oil has a moderate level of alkalinity to neutralize acidic combustion products that can enter the crankcase. Special additives give the oil detergent properties which ensure clean crankcases. The combination of detergency and the excellent oxidation stability provides clean piston interiors where oil is used for cooling. Veritas 800 Marine is recommended for the crankcase lubrication of large, low speed crosshead type marine diesel engines and meets the Wärtsilä-NSD (Sulzer), MAN-B&W, and Mitsubishi crosshead engine system oil requirements. Due to ingress of higher viscosity cylinder drip oil into the SAE 30 system oil, the viscosity often shows an increase. The SAE 20 grade will help to economically correct this viscosity increase.
